He was blackmailing her and had uploaded her photos on his WhatsApp status
Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru District Cyber Economic and Narcotics Crime (CEN) Police have arrested a man on charges of clicking private photos of a woman after making her drink sedative-laced juice and then uploading the photo to his WhatsApp status.
The accused has been identified as Jayakumar, a resident of a village in Nanjangud taluk and the victim woman is his neighbour.
According to the complaint, Jayakumar, used to be friendly with the woman and used to go to her house even when the woman’s husband and son were not at home.
But one day, Jayakumar reportedly offered the woman a glass of juice which was mixed with sedatives and when the woman fell asleep, Jayakumar is said to have clicked her private photos from her phone and sent it to his phone through WhatsApp.
She has further stated in the complaint that when her husband came to know about Jayakumar visiting her when he and his children were not at home, had told her not to allow Jayakumar to the house, following which she left his companionship.
But Jayakumar, who came to her house one day, told her to be like before and threatened of sending her private photos to everyone.
On Jan. 23, Jayakumar had uploaded the woman’s private photos to his WhatsApp status and based on the complaint from the woman, District CEN Police, who had registered a case, arrested the accused and produced him before a Court which remanded him to judicial custody.
