Man cheated of Rs. 2 lakh on the pretext of making him a business partner

Mysore/Mysuru: Online fraudsters have duped a man to the tune of Rs. 2 lakh on the pretext of making him a business partner. N. Mohan, a resident of Kuvempunagar, is the man, who has been cheated.

Following an advertisement that had appeared on Facebook in 2020, Mohan had invested Rs. 2 lakh to Way Link Pit Stop Solutions Pvt. Ltd. company, which made Mohan the Business Partner of Mysuru district.

After paying Rs. 10,000 for four months, the company stopped paying him, the complaint stated. Mohan has further stated in the complaint that one Reshma Chinnaswamy had met him at a hotel in Kuvempunagar to get his signature to the agreement copy and after getting his signature, Reshma told Mohan that she would get the signature of Ranjan Satish, the Managing Director of the company and send the documents by Speed-Post.

Mohan has also stated that apart from Reshma, he not meet anyone in person as all the dealing had taken place online besides stating that he had transferred Rs. 2 lakh to the account in the bank at Indiranagar in Bengaluru.

He also said that the company, apart from him, had also cheated many people from other States.

Kuvempunagar Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
