Man climbing Chamundi Hill steps on his birthday dies

Mysuru: A 40-year-old man, who was climbing the steps of Chamundi Hill to visit the Temple on his birthday, died on Wednesday morning.

The deceased is Suchith, a resident of J.P. Nagar in city.

Suchith, who left his home on Wednesday morning, parked his two-wheeler at the foot of the Hill and was climbing the steps. With just 40 steps remaining for him to reach the Temple, Suchith collapsed near the guest house and died. 

K.R. Police, who have registered a case,  suspected that Suchith may have died of heart attack.

Deceased identified through his vehicle key: The Policesearched Suchith’s pockets for his identification but could find only his vehicle key. As he  had left his mobile phone at his home and was not carrying any documents, it had become a challenge to trace his identification.

The Cops took the keys and  identified the scooter and later informed the RTO to trace the vehicle owner’s address.  Suchith’s identity was established and his family members were informed.
