Man dies after falling from terrace

Mysore/Mysuru: A 35-year-old man, who had gone to the terrace for a smoke, died after slipping and falling from the terrace on the third floor of the house at Aravindanagar on Mar. 23 night.

The deceased is Rajesh, a car driver by profession.

On Tuesday night, Rajesh, who had reportedly consumed liquor, had his dinner and later went to the terrace for a smoke at about 10.30 pm where he slipped and fell to the ground. He sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot.

It is learnt that Rajesh’s mother has gone on a pilgrimage to Haridwar and it was his father who had served him dinner and had also advised him not to go to the terrace in a drunken condition.

Kuvempunagar Police, who conducted mahazar, shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary, besides registering a case. Inspector Raju is investigating.
