Periyapatna: In a reported incident, a 50-year-old man was found hanging from a tree at a Eucalyptus grove near the Tobacco Auction Yard at Kaggundi in the taluk this morning. The deceased has been identified as Sanna Madegowda of Dorekere village in the taluk and the reason for him taking the extreme step is yet to be ascertained. Periyapatna Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
