Man from city cheated after selling car online

July 29, 2018

Mysuru:  A man from city, who had sold his Mahindra Bolero ZLX vehicle through OLX, has been cheated by the purchaser from Kundapur after the cheque he had given bounced.

Hemanth, a resident of Nazarbad in city, had put up an advertisement on OLX website to sell his Mahindra Bolero ZLX white colour vehicle.

One Subash B. Poojary, a resident of Kollur Road in Kundapur taluk, approached Hemanth on Nov. 4, 2016 and finalised the deal for Rs. 7.34 lakh. Subash then gave Hemanth Rs. 1.40 lakh cash and gave a cheque for the balance amount asking Hemanth to withdraw the money   from his account and left with the vehicle.

When Hemanth deposited the cheque to his account, the cheque bounced as there was insufficient fund in Subash’s account. Hemanth then went many times to Kundapur in search of Subash but in vain.

As enough time had passed and left with no options, Hemanth has lodged a complaint at Nazarbad Police Station on Saturday.
