Man held for burgling relative’s house: Rs. 2.5 lakh worth gold ornaments recovered

Mysore/Mysuru:  Alanahalli Police have arrested a man, who had stolen gold ornaments from his relative’s house at Gurumalleshwara Layout in Alanahalli Police limits and have recovered 90 grams gold ornaments worth Rs. 2.5 lakh from him.

The accused is 29-year-old Abhishek Gowda, a resident of Mandya.

Abhishek was staying at the house of the complainant (a relative) and had stolen the gold ornaments from the house. Abhishek’s relative, expressing doubts on him (Abhishek) had lodged a complaint at Alanahalli Police Station. 

The Police, who had registered a case, arrested Abhishek on Feb. 16 in city and during interrogation, Abhishek is said to have confessed of stealing gold ornaments from his relative’s house. Based on the information provided by him, the Police have recovered 90 grams gold ornaments worth Rs. 2.5 lakh.

Hariyappa, ASI Sridhar and staff Shivaprasad, B.K.Chowdappa and Ravikumar in the nabbing and recovery operations, according to a press release from the Public Relations Officer (PRO), City Police Commissioner’s Office, Mysuru.
