Man killed in road accident

Mysore/Mysuru: A 26-year-old man was killed on the spot, when he lost control of the bike and hit a roadside electric pole on the Ring Road near Unnathi Nagar yesterday night.

The deceased has been identified as Panduranga, son of late Narasimha and a resident of Koorgalli, who was working at a furniture manufacturing unit on Hunsur Road in Hootagalli.

Yesterday at about 11.30 pm, Panduranga was proceeding on the Ring Road from Manipal Hospital side towards Belavatta on his Hero Honda Passion Pro (KA-45-V-9941) bike and when he neared Unnathi Nagar, he is said to have lost control of the bike and hit the roadside electric Pole. Panduranga, who suffered serious injuries, reportedly died on the spot.

N.R. Traffic Inspector Prasanna Kumar and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, registered a case and shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary. Post-mortem was conducted this morning and the body was handed over to the family members.
