Mysuru: A 40-year-old man who was standing near a huge tree suffered serious injuries and died at the hospital when a tree branch fell on him near Woodlands Theatre here this morning. The deceased has been identified as Mahadeva, a resident of Rammanahalli in the taluk.

Mahadeva was standing near the tree along with others at about 7.30 am today, when the branch of a huge tree broke. Others who heard the sound of the branch breaking ran for their lives and the branch fell on Mahadeva, resulting in serious injuries.
