Mysuru/Mysore: Udayagiri Police have arrested a 25-year-old man for allegedly murdering his father-in-law over a trivial issue. The incident took place at Ghousianagar on Tuesday morning.
The arrested accused is Nadeem Mohammed Khan of Ghousianagar and the victim is Saleem (40), also of the same area.
Police said that victim Saleem had given his daughter in marriage to Nadeem five years ago and there was difference in opinions among the couple since a few months leading to frequent fights between them. Saleem used broker truce between the couple whenever there were fights.
Nadeem, who was angered with his father-in-law for taking side of his daughter every time, allegedly stabbed Saleem on his neck yesterday morning when Saleem was on his way to a Mosque to offer Namaz and killed him.
A case has been registered at Udayagiri Police Station.
