Mysore/Mysuru: A liquor-addict man allegedly killed his wife by strangulating her for asking him to shun liquor. The incident took place at Udayagiri on Saturday night and the Police have arrested the accused.
The deceased is Sandhya (23) and the accused husband is 27-year-old Kiran, residents of A.K. Colony in Udayagiri.
Kiran, who was addicted to liquor, was being advised to shun liquor by Sandhya daily which used to lead to frequent quarrels between them. On Saturday night too, Kiran had reportedly come home drunk and picked up a fight with Sandhya. As the issue escalated, Kiran allegedly strangled Sandhya with his hands in drunken stupor and killed her. Sandhya leaves behind her two-year-old child.
Udayagiri Police, have registered a case.
