Mysuru: A man allegedly killed his wife by slitting her throat with a knife and later surrendered before Hebbal Police. The gruesome incident took place at Lakshmikanthanagar in Hebbal this morning.

While the deceased has been identified as Shruthi (28), the accused husband is Manu, an employee of a tiles shop in city. The couple were married for 5 years.

Hebbal Inspector A. Mallesh and staff, conducted spot mahazar, registered a case, shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem and formally arrested Manu on charges of murder.

After interrogating the accused, Hebbal Police will produce accused Manu before a Court in city this afternoon.
