Man prevents Govt. servant from performing duty

Food & Civil Supplies Deputy Director files complaint

Mysuru: Deputy Director of the Food and Civil Supplies Department has lodged a complaint against a person for preventing a Government servant from performing duty, at Lakshmipuram Police Station. Dr. K. Rameshwarappa is the Deputy Director who has lodged a complaint against one Nandakumar of H.D. Kote taluk, for barging into the office and creating ruckus.

The complaint states that Nandakumar had applied for granting the Fair Price Shop (FPS) his father had owned on compensation grounds. As he had not fulfilled the conditions sought by the Government, the same was not granted to him, hence Nandakumar had come to the Food and Civil Supplies office and was pressurising the officials to grant him the Fair Price Shop.

The complaint further states that, on June 28, Nandakumar, who came to the Dy. Director’s office, threatened staff Shashidhar Nayak and Kumar, thus preventing them of discharging their duties and on July 1 at about 4.30 pm, barged into the office demanding Dr. Rameshwarappa to do his (Nandakumar) work besides threatening him and creating ruckus.

Dr. Rameshwarappa, in his complaint has sought action against Nandakumar.
