Father suspects murder, files Police complaint
K.R. Pet: A 47-year-old man, who was performing puja, slipped and fell to death from the second floor of the house at Basaveshwaranagar in the town on Saturday and his father suspecting that his son has been murdered has lodged a complaint with K.R. Police on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Nandeesh Hiremath, son of Swathantra Siddalingeshwara Swamy Temple Chief Priest Basavarajappa. Nandeesh was offering puja last morning at his house on the second floor, when he accidentally slipped and fell down resulting in him sustaining serious injuries. Though he was rushed to the Government Hospital, he breathed his last after failing to respond to the treatment.
Nandeesh’s wife Shivarathnamma, a Government School teacher, had gone to the school in Chikkamagalur district when the incident took place.
Circle Inspector H.B. Venkateshiah, SI H.S. Venkatesh and others visited the hospital.
Meanwhile, Nandeesh’s father Basavarajappa, alleging that his son has been murdered as no one would die after falling while performing puja and stating that someone had assaulted his son from behind and have pushed Nandeesh from the second floor, has lodged a complaint at K.R. Pet Police Station.
