Mysuru: Reportedly unable to face the society over their alleged affair, a married man and a married woman ended their life by hanging self at Challahalli in Bilikere hobli of Hunsur taluk late on Thursday night.
The deceased have been identified as Shantaraju (35) and Shantha (32), both of Challahalli village.
The two were married and had two children each, it is learnt.
Shantaraju is said to have hanged himself from a tree in the farmland belonging to Shantha’s family, while Shantha also allegedly hanged herself from a tree in the backyard of her house late on Thursday night and the incident came to light on Friday morning.
Angered by the incident, family members and relatives of the deceased woman Shantha forcibly entered Shantaraju’s house and
Bilikere Police, who rushed to the spot on receiving information, conducted mahazar and registered a case in this regard.
