Debate and Classical Duet Dance held
Mysuru: As part of its ‘Manasadhara Cultural Fest 2018-19,’ JSS Public School, J.P Nagar, had organised an Inter-School Classical Duet Dance Competition for city High School students in the School premises.
Students of the host School invoked Lord Gajanana through their scintillating performance and the Fest was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Sheshagiri Rao, Deputy Director – General Education, Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru and the day’s chief guest, Dr. Sheela Sridhar, HoD of Dance, University College of Fine Arts, Mysuru.
Host School’s CCA Co-ordinator Sreelakshmi welcomed the gathering. Faculty Member Rajeshwari proposed a vote of thanks. Staff Member Thanuja introduced day’s judges to the gathering. Soujanya Jagadish of IX std. and Srigowri of Class X compered the programme.
Sheshagiri Rao, in his presidential speech, said that today’s busy world definitely needs relaxation, one such relaxation forms is Bharatanatyam.
The contestants from various city schools enthralled the audience with their well-choreographed performances.
