Manasarowar Pushkarini Vidyashrama celebrates International Day of Yoga

Mysuru: Manasarowar Pushkarini Vidyashrama, Vijayanagar II Stage, Mysuru, celebrated International Day of Yoga on June 21 with enthusiasm and reverence, reflecting the school’s ongoing commitment to integrating yoga into everyday learning. As part of the school’s curriculum from Pre-KG to Grade 12, yoga has long been a pillar of holistic education at the institution.

The celebration began in the morning with a calm and focused atmosphere as students from Grades 1 to 12 and teachers gathered on the school grounds. The event was marked by a yoga display by students from Grades 3 to 8, who demonstrated a variety of asanas and a well-coordinated Suryanamaskar sequence.

The session served as a reminder of the physical, mental and emotional benefits of regular yoga practice. It reinforced the school’s vision of nurturing mindful, healthy and resilient individuals through traditional practices rooted in Indian culture.

“At Manasarowar Pushkarini Vidyashrama, yoga is not just an event — it is a way of life embraced by every student from the earliest years of learning,” said Harshida Harikumar, Principal, Manasarowar Pushkarini Vidyashrama.
