Mandi Police hold Corona awareness campaign

Mysore/Mysuru: Mandi Police, on Wednesday, conducted a campaign to create awareness on Coronavirus at Mission Hospital Circle in city.

Speaking after inaugurating the campaign, city’s CJM Court and Third Additional Civil Judge K. Vidya said that positive thinking along with being brave could cure a Coronavirus-infected patient and added that by wearing face masks, using sanitiser and maintaining social distance, one could keep the virus at bay and also prevent it from spreading.

Continuing, the Judge said that youths should be aware of Traffic rules and should not indulge in signal jumping and helmetless riding as it not only endanger the lives of others but to oneself also.

Narasimharaja (NR) Sub-Division ACP Shivashankar, who also spoke, said that there are many people who think that laws are meant only for the Police and not to them. Many say that they are wearing face masks and helmets just because the Police impose fine on them, he said and added that this type of mentality should go as laws are framed for their protection. Police will be forced to impose penalties for violating the rules, he added.

Free masks and sanitisers were distributed to the public on the occasion. Mandi Inspector Narayanaswamy, former Corporator Suhail Baig and others   were present.
