Mandya companies evince interest to set up oxygen plants: DC

Mandya: Deputy Commissioner S. Aswathi has said that several factories and companies have extended co-operation to the District Administration to set up oxygen units in all Taluks in the wake of demand from Corona positive patients. Participating in a video-conference here yesterday, she said the State Government has approved setting up of two oxygen generating units in Mandya Medical College and in Malavalli. 

Meanwhile, Hombale Group has come forward to set up two units of 500 LPM each in K.R. Pet and Srirangapatna Taluks. Talks are on with Murugesh Nirani Sugar Company and Pandavapura Sugar Factory to set up one unit of 400 or 500 LPM in Pandavapura Taluk. While Mandya Milk Producers Union has agreed to set up one unit in Maddur Hospital, two factories have shown interest for one plant in Nagamangala taluk, she said. 

DHO Dr. Manchegowda, Joint Director of Department of Industries Nagaraju and other officers were present.
