Mandya youth killed as bike skids on Ring Road

Mysuru: A youth from Mandya was killed after the bike on which he was riding pillion skidded on the Outer Ring Road on Saturday midnight.

The deceased is M. Manoj (24), son of Mahadevu, a resident of Annapoorneshwari Nagar in Mandya, who was working in Reliance outlet at Kallahalli in Mandya.

On Nov. 30 evening, Manoj, who informed his family members that he was going to the city, took his TVS Apache RTR 160 and left along with his friends Deepu, Darshan and Abhishek. Abhishek had brought his TVS Apache RTR 310 and the four left on two bikes to Mysuru.

After having dinner in Mysuru, Manoj gave his bike to Darshan and sat pillion behind Deepu, who was riding Abhishek’s bike. When they were proceeding near RBI on the Ring Road, Deepu lost control of the bike which skidded resulting in Manoj sustaining serious head injuries and breathed his last. VV Puram Traffic Police have registered a case.
