ManMUL Founder-President demands NDDB probe

Mandya: Founder President of ManMUL Narasimhegowda has demanded a NDDB (National Dairy Development Board) probe into the milk adulteration scam that was unearthed recently, where milk was mixed with equal quantity of water during transportation.

Addressing a press meet at Mandya on Wednesday, Narasimhegowda said that the adulteration of milk has caused huge losses both to the Milk Body and consumers. Alleging that officials were hand-in-glove with scamsters, he accused the route officials of not checking the quality and fat content of milk while being transported from BMCs (Bulk Milk Centres) to the Dairy.

Charging top officials of failing in discharging their duties and acting irresponsibly, Narasimhegowda said that  only an  NDDB probe can go deep into the scam. He also demanded expedition of the works on Mega Dairy Project, which is getting unduly delayed.

Stating that a memorandum has been submitted to NDDB, the Chief Minister, the Co-operation Minister and Animal Husbandry Minister seeking a thorough probe into the scam, he warned of staging massive protests if the culprits are not brought to book.

Senior Co-operators Chandupura Papanna, Puttaswamy, Thammayyanna, H.T. Krishnegowda, H. Siddaiah, Keelara Krishna, Kowdle Channappa and others were present.
