“Man’s earnings beyond necessity is a waste”

Former HC Judge Sudhindra Rao in city

Mysore/Mysuru: Observing that everyone should realise that a human being’s earnings beyond necessity is a waste, former Karnataka High Court Judge N.K. Sudhindra Rao said it is important that every human leads a purposeful life.

He was speaking after releasing the new calendar and diary of ‘Law Guide’ monthly law magazine published from Mysuru, at a programme organised at Hotel Airlines near the City Courts Complex here recently.

Maintaining that legal profession is one which creates knowledgeable persons, Justice Sudhindra Rao said that at the same time lawyers, who are mired in their profession, should ensure that they do not become outsiders in their own homes.

Stressing on the need for lawyers to practice what they  preach, he said that advocates should not get disheartened  if they happen to lose their cases in courts.

Quoting Mahabharatha, Justice Rao  had a word of advice for advocates saying that they should be like Arjuna and Krishna and not like Uttarakumara, in their profession.

Karnataka CID Cyber Cell Dy.SP K.N. Yeshwanth Kumar, who was recently conferred ‘Cyber Cop of the Year-2021’ award by Data Security Council of India, was felicitated on the occasion. City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta, Mysuru Bar Association former President G.V. Ramamurthy, senior advocates S. Lokesh and Harish Kumar Hegde, ‘Law Guide’ Editor H.N. Venkatesh and others were present.
