Mysuru: Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has organised a manual scavenging survey camp in city from July 26 to Aug.6 at different places from 10 am to 6 pm, said the District Urban Development Cell Project Director.
The survey is being conducted regarding those who have been involved in manual scavenging after the implementation of The Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavenger and their Rehabilitation Act 2013.
Those who claim to be manual scavengers must visit the survey camps along with the documents and register their names.
The camps will be conducted on July 26 for those coming under Zonal Office-1, July 29: Zonal Office-2, July 30: Zonal Office-3; July 31 – Zonal Office-4 at Samudaya Bhavan near Gurudwara, Brindavan Extension, Yadavagiri; Aug.1: Zonal Office-5 – CITB Choultry in Hebbal; Aug.2: Zonal Office-6 – Town Hall; Aug.3: Zonal Office-7 – Adi Karnataka Development Sangha Samudaya Bhavan in Gandhinagar; Aug.5: Zonal Office-8 – Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Samudaya Bhavan, Syed Abdul Rehman Road, Udayagiri and Aug.6: Zonal Office-9 – Samudaya Bhavan near Kyatamaranahalli Huliyamma Temple.
To register at the camp, carry a passport size photograph, photocopy of Bank Pass book, Aadhaar card, Voter ID/ Ration Card/ BPL Card (must carry originals also) and documents related to the manual scavenging work they are doing.
