Mysore/Mysuru: As part of International Women’s Day, Bharath Hospital and Institute of Oncology (BHIO-Bharath Cancer Hospital) in association with Nexus Centre City, had organised a 5-km marathon in city on Sunday.
The marathon was flagged off from Nexus Centre City by DCP (Crime and Traffic) S. Jahnavi and Chairman of BHIO and Executive Chairman of Health Care Global Enterprises Dr. B.S. Ajaikumar.
BHIO has planned various health programmes including free health camps for women this month by offering free registration and consultation, 50 percent discount on Mammography, Ultrasound, Pap-smear and blood investigations.
More than 700 people from various walks of life including students from various colleges took part in the 5-km marathon.
Speaking on the occasion, DCP Jahnavi appreciated the participants for taking part actively in the 5-km run.
Bhagya Ajaikumar, who also spoke on the occasion called upon the public to recognise women’s talent and include them in every sector.

Vijay Kumar, Radiation Oncologist Dr. Vinayakumar Muttagi, Senior Pathologist Dr. B. Kavitha, COO of BHIO Gowtham Dhamerla, Nexus Centre City Centre Head Kumar, Operations Head Mohan Kumar, Marketing Head of BHIO R.P. Anand and Marketing Head of Nexus Centre City Manu were present on the occasion.
