Marimallappa’s wins JO-SPECTRA Championship

Mysuru, Oct. 21- St. Joseph’s College for Women, Rammanahalli, conducted an inter-collegiate competition for PU students in essay writing, quiz bar, tug of war, reels making and group dance recently.

Students from more than thirty colleges participated. Marimallappa’s PU College, Mysuru, won the Championship title JO-SPECTRA. The prize winners are as follows:

Essay competition: First prize – Isha Mariyam, St. Joseph’s PU College, Sathagalli, Second prize- Eklavya Prabhakar, Kautilya Vidyalaya and Third prize- Tuba Ayman, St. Joseph’s, PU College, Rajivnagar.

Quiz: First prize – R. Dhanush and Durgaprasad, Marimallappa’s PU College, Mysuru, Second prize- Pavan Siddappa and Akash, Marimallappa’s PU College, Mysuru and Third prize- Stuthi D’Souza and Madeeha Tanzil, St. Joseph’s PU College, Jayalakshmipuram.

Reels making: First prize- Likhith Kiran, Harsh and Amar, Marimallappa’s PU College, Second prize- Vishrutha, Shrutha and Sanjana, St. Joseph’s PU College, Jayalakshmipuram and Third prize – Nimra, Iram and Rubiya, St.Joseph’s PU College, Rajivnagar.

Tug of war: First prize- Team Untame, Kautilya Vidyalaya and Second prize- Teresian Team-B.

Group dance: First prize- Likhith Kiran and group, Marimallappa’s PU College, Second prize- Divya and group, St. Joseph’s PU College, Jayalakshmipuram and Third prize- Owaez Khan and group, St. Joseph’s PU College, Rajivnagar.

The event was co-ordinated by R. Avanti, Head of Computer Science Department.

Poornima, Principal, St. Joseph’s College for Women, Rammanahalli, appreciated the efforts, hard work and dedication displayed by the participants.

Manu Kumar and Sahista, In-Charge Principals, St. Joseph’s PU College, Sathagalli were present.
