Mysuru: On the occasion of Guru Purnima, Scientific Pranayama Foundation Trust (SPFT), Mysuru, has organised 41st Mass 108 Udgeetha Chanting (Om Chanting) as a tribute to the Guru Parampara under the guidance of Dr. Devaki Madhav, Founder-President, tomorrow (July 29) at Sri Rama Mandira, Ballal Circle, Mysuru, at 6 pm.
The programme is organised to promote peace, mental calmness, positive well-being and a healthy lifestyle through the practice of scientific breathing and chanting.
The collective chanting of 108 Udgeethas is a simple and spiritually uplifting practice. Regular and mindful chanting, combined with proper breathing, may help promote mental relaxation, reduce stress and support emotional well-being.
It may be particularly beneficial as a complementary wellness practice for people concerned about high blood pressure, diabetes and other lifestyle-related health issues, while it should not be considered a substitute for medical treatment.
