Massive Swachhata Abhiyaan at new Courts Complex

Mysuru: In yet another initiative in taking forward its cleanliness campaign, the MCC, in association with the Judicial Department, launched a massive Swachhata Abhiyaan campaign at the new Law Courts Complex at Malalawadi in Jayanagar (behind Apollo BGS Hospital) on Friday.

Speaking after inaugurating the campaign and unveiling the Swachhata Logo, Principal District and Sessions Court Judge B. Jayanth Kumar said the logo symbolises the resolve to build a clean, healthy and beautiful Mysuru.

Observing that the logo gives a unique  identity for all the city’s Swachhata campaigns, he said it is also aimed at sensitising the public on maintaining cleanliness.

Later, the wastes in the premises of both the City Courts were cleaned using MCC vehicles, machinery and other equipment.

Earlier, Judicial Officers, Advocates, Court staff, MCC officials and Pourakarmikas were administered oath on ensuring  cleanliness and hygiene.

The event also featured exchange of information regarding solid waste disposal-2026 rules, segregation of wastes at source, scientific handling and disposal of wastes, maintaining cleanliness at public places and the role of citizens in building a clean environment.

Mysore Bar Association President S. Lokesh, Secretary A.G. Sudhir, staff of Judicial department, officials and staff of MCC Zone-2 and 3, Pourakarmikas and members of the public took part in the campaign.
