The Mysore District Masters Athletic Association felicitated the Masters athletes, who represented Karnataka in the 39th National Masters Athletic Championships held at Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru recently and won medals, at a programme held at University Lions Hall yesterday.

The following athletes of the Association were honoured on the occasion by Mysore District Masters Athletics Association President Sumana Narasimha Murthy and Secretary P.G. Sathyanarayana: V. Rekha (Silver  in Hammer Throw – 35 plus category), M. Yogendra (Gold in 3000m Steeple Chase Run and Silver in 4X400m Relay in 55 plus category); M. Nanaiah – Silver in 4X400m Relay  in 55 plus category); A.C. Subbaiah (Silver in Discus Throw and Bronze in Shot-put in 55 plus category);  K.T. Balarame Gowda (Gold in 100m and Silver in 4X400m Relay   in 65 plus category); S. Mahadev – Bronze in 400m and Silver in 4X100m Relay  in 65 plus category); C.B. Cheleva Gowda – Gold in Shot-Put and Silver in Hammer Throw and Bronze in Discus Throw  in 70 plus category).
