Mysore/Mysuru: Math Junior has organised its annual awards ceremony — ‘NAKSHATRA’ — celebrating National Mathematics Day on Dec. 22 from 4 pm at Kalamandira on Hunsur Road in city.
Dr. K.B. Ganapathy, Founder-Editor, Star of Mysore and Mysuru Mithra, will be the chief guest.
Dr. K.S. Chandrashekar, former HoD of Mathematics at The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysuru, will be the guest of honour. Mathematician Dr. M.E. Shobha, a faculty at Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal, will be the guest speaker.
The programme features chanting of Sanskrit Shloka and welcome dance by Nrutya Vidya Peeta Academy of Classical Dance. A book titled ‘The 60 Minute Speed Math Book’ authored by M.U. Ganapathy, Founder of Math Junior, will also be released, followed by a live demonstration of Math Champ and Robotics Demo.
Math Junior Awards will be conferred on eligible students, followed by musical and cultural events. All schools, teachers and public may attend.
