Mysuru/Mysore: Commemorating its 25th anniversary, Mathru Mandali Shishu Vikasa Kendra, a school for differently abled, had organised ‘Belli Habba – 2020’ on Monday at the school premises in Gokulam here.
Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji inaugurated the Silver Jubilee programme and feted specially-abled children on the occasion. MLA Nagendra who participated in the programme lauded the efforts of teachers, parents and the institute who are working for overall development of these special children.
As part of the event, an exhibition showcasing handicraft items and decorative art materials designed by specially-abled children was held.
Department of Women and Child Development Deputy Director Padma, Mathru Mandali Vidya Samsthe President Vijayalakshmi Urs, Vice President Rameshwari Varma, Silver Jubilee Committee President Vani Prasad, philanthropists Rajeshwari, Pandu, Lata Murthy and Dr. Vasantkumar Shetty, office bearers and members of Mandali and parents were present.
