MCC Addl. Comr. asks street vendors to join hands for fighting COVID-19

Even as the District administration has taken all precautionary and preventive measures to stop the spread of COVID-19, MCC Additional Commissioner N.M. Shashikumar has appealed street vendors to join hands with MCC in the fight against Coronavirus and other epidemic diseases. In his appeal, Shashikumar asked the street vendors to stop indiscreet vending of food items in the city and to cooperate with the MCC and the District administration by strictly following the laid out guidelines and regulations. Highlighting the hygienic measures taken by MCC for ensuring food safety, he said that vendors should stop selling food items in the open as a measure to control the spread of the virus. He also asked the food vendors to comply with the regulations by shutting shops until further orders.
