Mysore/Mysuru: In a bid to overcome medical staff shortage at COVID Mitra Centres and other medical facilities, the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC), in association with MUDA, has appointed 24 doctors and 33 nursing staff through direct interview in an emergency recruitment drive held at the MCC’s Old Council Hall here on Tuesday.
The appointments are on a contract basis for a three-month period with a fixed monthly salary. The selected doctors are paid a salary of Rs. 1 lakh each, while nursing staff will get Rs. 28,000 each.
The recruitment was conducted by a team of officials comprising MUDA Commissioner Dr. D.B. Natesh, District TB Control Officer Dr. Mohammad Shiraz, MCC Health Officer Dr. D.G. Nagaraj, Dr. Hemanth and K.R. ACP Poornachandra Tejaswi.
The officials, after scrutinising the documents of all the eligible candidates, conducted the interview as per set norms.
