MCC Commissioner, staff ride Ambaari to create voting awareness

Mysore/Mysuru: Ahead of Lok Sabha elections for Mysuru-Kodagu Parliamentary Constituency on Apr. 26, Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) is undertaking various activities under Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) to increase the percentage of voting.

Recently, MCC staff, led by their Commissioner Dr. N.N. Madhu, dressed in ethnic outfit and holding placards with slogans to create awareness about the importance of voting, boarded Ambaari open roof top bus of Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) and went around the city.

They stopped at prominent circles and junctions and showed the index fingers in unison, marking the significance of voting.

Similarly, awareness was created among the customers at a coffee joint near Law Court’s Complex on Monday. The shop is located close to Booth No. 170 which witnesses low voter turnout. Hence, the shop which usually brims with customers, was zeroed in on to create voting awareness, it is said.
