MCC gets clearance for waste treatment plants

Mysuru:  The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has been accorded environmental clearance  by the State Environmental Impact Assessment Authority-Karnataka for the construction of the long-pending 150 TPD (tonnes per day) Municipal solid waste processing facility at Survey Number 39 in Rayanakere.

Also, the MCC has been accorded environmental clearance to construct 200 TPD Municipal solid waste processing and disposal facility at Survey Number 307, 308, 317 A, B, C, D and 488/ 1B, 2A, 2B, 490/1,2,3, 491/1,2,3, 492/1,2 and 494 at Kesare.

Both the solid waste management plants have been severely opposed by the residents and following this, the MCC had sent the project reports for environmental clearances.
