MCC to take action on stray cattle

Mysuru: Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner G. Jagadeesha, in a press release, has warned cattle owners not to leave them on roads and public places, as they were causing a lot of problems to the public besides hampering the smooth flow of traffic in city.

The Commissioner said that the cattle were found near garbage bins consuming it which would result in them falling sick and added that sometimes the cattle scatter garbage on roads making the place dirty and urged the cattle owners to help maintain cleanliness by not letting their cattle roam freely on roads.

He said that the MCC staff would catch the cattle found roaming freely on the roads and would impose a fine of Rs. 500 on the owners for the first offence before handing it over them. If the same owner commits the mistake for the second time, the cattle will be caught and would be handed over to Pinjrapole.
