MCC’s door-to-door health check-up survey launched to curb COVID

Mysore/Mysuru: The house-to-house health check-up survey launched by Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) for early detection and treatment of Corona patients was inaugurated at Gandhinagar in city yesterday by area Corporator Dr. Ashwini Sharath.

Speaking on the occasion, she said the purpose of this drive was to detect the deadly Coronavirus in citizens and provide them treatment on time. Early detection of virus helps in early starting of treatment and high recovery rate. Most people do not show up any symptoms despite carrying the virus. This drive will help in identifying such persons, she added.

ASHA workers involved in this survey are given pulse oximeter to check oxygen levels in blood and thermal scanner to test body temperature. If oxygen level is less than 93 such persons require immediate hospitalisation, Dr. Ashwini said.

Health Inspector Darshan, Supervisor Nanjundaswamy, ASHA workers and members of Ward Task Force, Sharath Satish, Karna, Rakesh, Shyam and others were present.
