The one-day monthly Mysore District Open Rapid Chess Tournament 2017, conducted by the Mysore District Chess Association (MDCA) at the University Lions Hall Auditorium began today morning.
Around 100 players from the district are taking part in the tournament. The tournament was inaugurated by University of Mysore Senate Member Ln. Ramesh, by moving the pawn symbolically on the chess board. Sudharshan, President, MDCA, K.R. Shivarame Gowda, Hon.Secretary, MDCA were also present on the occasion.
