Mysuru: The Mysore District Chemists & Druggist Welfare Association (MDCDWA), in association with the Drug Department, observed World Cancer Day by conducting an awareness programme at the Drug Controller’s Office, Vijayanagar in city recently.
The initiative focused on early detection, prevention and treatment of cancer, emphasising the crucial role of pharmacists and healthcare professionals in public health. As a significant step in spreading awareness, the association unveiled a cancer awareness poster, which highlights early warning signs and preventive measures. This poster will be displayed in all medical stores across Mysuru, ensuring widespread outreach and education among the public.
The event reinforced the collective responsibility of healthcare professionals and pharmacists in the fight against cancer, urging the community to stay informed & prioritise early detection. MDCDWA officials expressed gratitude to all attendees for their support in making the initiative a success.
