MDJA congratulates K.B. Ganapathy

Mysore/Mysuru: The Mysuru District Journalists Association (MDJA) has congratulated Star of Mysore and Mysuru Mithra Founder-Editor K.B. Ganapathy (KBG) on being bestowed  with the Honorary Doctorate by University of  Mysore (UoM).

In a press release, MDJA President S.T. Ravikumar and General Secretary M. Subramanya said that KBG, who is the doyen of journalism in Mysuru, has upheld the dignity of Journalism and the MDJA over his five decades of service to society.

Pointing out that the UoM has bestowed the Honorary Doctorate on KBG in recognition of his yeomen service to Journalism, they said this is perhaps for the first time that the UoM has given Doctorate degree to a journalist.

MDJA has expressed its gratitude to the Governor-Chancellor, UoM  Vice-Chancellor, Syndicate and Academic Council members and the Higher Education Department for bestowing this honour on KBG. MDJA has also congratulated cricketer Javagal Srinath, who studied in Mysuru, on being honoured.
