Mysuru: The 2019 Diary and Calendar brought out by the Mysuru District Journalists Association (MDJA) were released at a programme organised at MDJA premises in Agrahara here this morning.
Speaking after releasing the Diary, Tharun Giri, Managing Director, The Windflower Resorts and Spa, recalled that Mysuru bagging the Cleanest City tag twice was no mean achievement.
Pointing out that Mysuru takes pride in being called as the cultural capital of the State, Tharun Giri stressed on the need for sustained measures to keep the city clean and tidy.
BJP leader and District Co-operative Union President H.V. Rajeev, who spoke after releasing the Calendar, said that MDJA has carved a niche for itself in State media and highlighted the contributions of veteran journalists like K.B. Ganapathy and late Rajashekar Koti to journalism field.
Kaginele Shakha Mutt Seer Sri Shivanandapuri Swamiji, who graced the occasion, wished the MDJA all success in its future endeavours.
MDJA President C.K. Mahendra thanked the city’s Siddartha Group of Hotels for sponsoring MDJA Diary for the last 20 years.
