The Pistol & Rifle shooters of Mysore District Rifle Association (MDRA), Mysuru, have won numerous medals during the Dasara Games CM Cup – 2018 held at Mysuru and Bengaluru.
The Games were organised by the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports (DYES), District Administration, Mysuru and Karnataka Olympic Association (KOA), at Sports Authority of India, Bengaluru from Oct.10 to 16. The top shooters from Karnataka State attended the Dasara Games CM Cup-2018.
The medal winners are as follows:
Pistol Shooting
Rakshit Shastry – 50 meter air pistol – Team Silver; M.S. Nagendra – 10 M air pistol – Para Individual Gold; K. Shankar Setty – 10 M air rifle – Team Bronze; Gyan Ponnappa – 10 M air rifle – Team Bronze; M. Manjesh – 10 M air rifle – Team Bronze.
Rakshit Shastry, M.S. Nagendra, K. Shankar Setty and Gyan Ponnappa will take part in the 62nd National Shooting Championship to be held at National Game Village, Trivandrum, Kerala, in December.
They are trained under M.S. Suresh, Coach and Secretary of MDRA.
