Meenakshi Ramachandru (52), former City Municipal Council President and a resident of Chamalapura Road in the town, passed away in the early hours of this morning following a heart attack.
She leaves behind four sons and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were performed at Nayaka community burial grounds this afternoon, according to family sources.
