Nanjangud: As part of former MP late R. Dhruvanarayan’s birth anniversary celebration, a mega Job Mela and blood donation camp have been organised at Mangala Mantapa and Mahadeshwara Convention Hall respectively in Nanjangud tomorrow from 9.30 am to 5 pm, said former MLA Kalale Keshavamurthy, here yesterday.
Addressing mediapersons, he said that Dhruvanarayan, who was closely connected with the people of Nanjangud, had contributed immensely for the development of the Constituency as a two-time MP and added that the late leader preferred to involve in social works instead of celebrating his birthday on a grand scale.
“Dhruvanarayan always worked to provide jobs for the youths and held job melas and blood donation camps on his birthday. Similarly, last year, when he passed away, job mela was organised during which about 517 youths were recruited by various companies,” he added.
This year, about 125 companies will be taking part in the job mela. Candidates will be selected personally by the HR Managers depending on the company’s requirements. Students having passed ITI, Diploma, Engineering, SSLC, PUC and any degree can take part in the job mela.
Meanwhile, the blood donation camp has been organised in association with Lions Club at Mahadeshwara Convention Hall.
