Multi-talented twin sisters Tara and Trisha enthral students
Mysore/Mysuru: Meraki, the three-day Annual Cultural and Literary Festival was held at I Can International School in Mysuru recently.
Organised, curated and conducted by School’s Student Council, it engaged students across all grades. Meraki is synonymous with the school’s sustainable, multicultural, student-led campus life.
This year’s theme, ‘Into the Jungle’, sought inspiration from School’s recent field trips to Masinagudi, Bandipur forests and Gerry Martin’s farm in Hunsur.
The Student Council 2023-24 invited the 15-year-old dynamic duo, Tara and Trisha, to inaugurate Meraki and inspire students with their artistic repertoire and steadfast commitment to pursuing their dreams.
Tara and Trisha are multi-talented fraternal twins. Through a one-hour live concert, Tara and Trisha’s voices resonated with the audience, as they shared the story of their journey. The twins are currently making waves with musical performances across India, as they pursue their career in arts and entertainment, while also lending their voices to demo tracks for Marks Schoenfeld’s next Broadway production, Music Boy.
At the opening ceremony, Mark Schoenfeld, illustrious Broadway playwright, composer and producer who collaborates with seasoned music professionals, encouraged students to believe that extraordinary talent and skill can be acquired with hard work. He also shed light on discovering Tara and Trisha.
Having embarked on a journey of self-discovery from a young age with supportive parents, Shalini and Santosh, their childhood play sessions laid the foundation for a deep interest in theatre and acting. Tara’s exceptional versatility shines forth through captivating monologues and impromptu scripts. Her ability to sing in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Italian, French, Hindi, and Tamil, is testament to her vocal prowess.
“In an expression of I Can’s commitment towards its sustainability goals, students were presented with cloth tote bags and Council members with metal water bottles,” said Capt. Audrey Maben, School Founder & Head.
