Mysuru: The 5th SET Merit Scholarship Day was organised by Seshadripuram Independent PU College at Kalamandira recently to felicitate and honour the meritorious students for their outstanding performance in SSLC and PU examinations.
Prof. M. Krishnegowda, retired Principal of St. Philomena’s College, was the chief guest. He addressed the gathering and said that education plays a vital role in everyone’s life and all must give importance to education. He was of the opinion that all should strive to acquire as much knowledge as possible and not money and wealth which won’t make us worthy.
Dr. Wooday P. Krishna, Honorary General Secretary of Seshadripuram Educational Trust (SET), presided. The meritorious students were awarded with cash prizes of Rs. 10,000 for those who have secured 80% and above and free seats for those who have secured 95% and above in their respective examinations.
The IPOMO application software was launched during the programme and the PU Newsletter was also released.
