Mysore/Mysuru: Traffic accidents in Mysuru have become a pressing concern. Among the leading causes: Potholes — especially hazardous for two-wheeler riders during and after rains.
Despite the recurring danger, the city lacks a regular system to identify and repair potholes, leaving many roads in disrepair.
To address these critical issues, Mysore Grahakara Parishat (MGP) is organising a public meeting on Sunday, Aug. 10, at 4 pm, at 6/1 Vivekananda Road, Yadavagiri, Mysuru. Citizens are invited to attend and engage directly with civic officials. For more details, contact: 99009-50366 or 0821-2515150.
The meeting will bring together key officials, including MCC Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent Engineer Manju, Executive Engineer Srinivas and B.N. Chandrashekar, Municipal Commissioner of Hootagalli
Discussions will focus on road safety, pothole management, and drainage infrastructure. Overflowing drains during monsoons have made travel hazardous for both motorists and pedestrians.
