Mysuru: The monthly meeting of Mysore Grahakara Parishat (MGP) will be held tomorrow (Sunday) at the residence of Ramesh Kikkeri, No. 139, Susthira, Sharadanagara Railway Layout, Bogadi, Mysuru, from 4 pm onwards.
This month meeting is in view of the prevailing national concern about scarcity of cooking fuel. It is also a coincidence that the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC)has made allocation for ‘Green Property Tag’ in their budget.
MGP has arranged an on-site live demonstration of such ‘green’ property already in existence for over a decade. This learning and adoption will help people reuse and harness energy available within our own compounds, reduce fresh fossil fuel import and prevent handling and burning our wastes into the air. This is also an opportunity for citizens and consumers to think about their duties in addition to the rights.
The meeting will be held in small batches of 10 people for 15-20 mins each with Q&A.
Ramesh Kikkeri (Engineer) and U.N. Ravi Kumar (Scientist), who are active Conservationists and Life Members of MGP, will speak on the topic ‘Green Upgrading Houses.’
Those interested may contact Mob: 88618-70006 (Ravi Bale) or 96205-43516 (Ramesh).
