MIA delegation meets MSME Commissioner

Mysuru: The Mysore Industries Association (MIA) Secretary Suresh Kumar Jain presented a memorandum to Gunjan Krishna, Commissioner of Micro, Small and Medium Industries (MSME) at a meeting of all industries associations held under the aegis of Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KSSIA) at Belagavi on Monday.

A delegation of MIA, representing industries of Mysuru, Mandya and Chamarajanagar districts, met MSME Commissioner Gunjan Krishna and submitted the memorandum comprising 19 demands and issues pertaining to industrial area development by KIADB.

The demands and issues included release of Rs.10 crore for developing infrastructure in Bannimantap, Vishweshwaranagar and other industrial areas in city, effective implementation of ‘Kaigarika Spandana’ and ‘Kaigarika Adalat’ Government initiatives, amendments to MSEFC Act for better industrial co-ordination, solar lighting of all industrial areas, granting of more funds to KIADB for better industrial infrastructure and for using unused BEML land for building houses for industrial workers, among others.

Gunjan Krishna assured the delegation of looking into the demands and issues raised by MIA.
