MIA to fete CII Karnataka Chairman tomorrow

Mysuru: Mysore Industries Association (MIA), a representative organisation of industries of Mysuru, has organised a function at Rani Bahadur auditorium, Hunsur Road, tomorrow (June 14) at 10.30 am to felicitate Dr. N. Muthukumar, Chairman, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Karnataka and President-cum-Wholetime Director of Automotive   Axles, Mysuru.

Minister G.T. Devegowda will felicitate Dr. Muthukumar. K.B. Ganapathy, Editor-in-Chief, Star of Mysore, will be the chief guest. Ex-MLA Vasu, President, MIA, will preside.

Dr. Muthukumar is the first Mysurean  to chair CII Karnataka chapter. He was instrumental in constructing India’s first Green Toilet at Chamundi Hill; Women’s Toilet at Mysore Palace; Development of Thippaiah Lake out of CSR funds     among others.

When Dr. Muthukumar was CII Chairman of Mysuru, he played a significant role in the industrial and tourism development of Mysuru region.

AGM: The 25th Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of Mysore Industries Association will be held tomorrow at 10 am at the same venue, according to a press release from MIA.
