Mysore Institute of Commerce and Arts (MICA) will be organising inter-collegiate hockey tournament from Apr. 6-8 at University Hockey Grounds. More than 20 teams from Mysuru, Kodagu, Bengaluru and Hubballi will take part in the tournament.
The tournament will be inaugurated by Dr. P. Krishnaiah, In-charge Director, Dept. of Physical Education, UoM on Apr. 6 at 10.30 am. Dr. Pulikeshi Y. Shetteppanavar, Deputy Director, Dept. of Physical Education, UoM. Winners of the tournament will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 15,000. Rs. 10,000 for the first runner-up and Rs. 5,000 for the second runner-up team. The organisers will also give away the Best Keeper, Best Defender, Highest Goal Scorer and Best Forward player awards to the players.
